View From Paris Loft
I took so many great shots from our hotel loft window during a much needed vacation in Paris. Everyday, I found something interesting to shoot from the same location.
Empress of Power
Empress truly lives up to her name. Her personality is very regal, eloquent, yet very attention-grabbing. She is truly one of the more fascinating people I have come to call "friend" during 2007.
Her personal obstacles and victories continue to intrigue me, as I get to know her. She definitely possesses great power in such a small frame. One of her secret weapons is on display in this photograph...her enigmatic smile.
Sundown at Spotts Park
The clouds were incredible on the day I took this shot. It was a perfect ending to a perfect workout.

"Fenced In"
Although what was once Fourth Ward is now referred to as "Midtown," there are a few historic reminders of what was once a thriving predominantly African-American community post slave era.
Modernization was once the backdrop for this area, as seen here via Houston's skyline. However, gentrification has taken over, and the majority of the historic remnants of the 4th Ward community are disappearing. The question is, will the memories and contributions of 4th Ward to Houston's African-American community be forgotten as well?
Share your thoughts.

"My Metropolis"

I just wanted to capture the heart of, in my opinion...which is all that matters, "the" greatest city in the world.

Once my home for 7 years, these shots show the mid-20th century style of Houston's apartment design. The small complex still exists, in spite of numerous new urban-designed condo's and town homes in the surrounding area.

Monday nights at Cafe Brasil were a mainstay in Houston, thanks to DJs Sun, Melodic, and Chicken George. The trio, plus other talented turntable maestros brought an eclectic sound to a stylish, Houston crowd, as featured in my photos.
